Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday once again praised Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi for taking a ‘bold step’ to demonetise high-value currency notes. Mr Naidu said already 25 per cent of transactions in AP has gone cashless and the government is aiming at having 50 per cent of cashless transactions by March 2017. The Chief Minister’s stand on note ban has been inconsistent with him claiming credit for the drastic measure to criticising the Centre for botching up the demonetisation exercise.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Indian Science Congress, Mr Naidu said, “Even science congress needs the god’s support. Lord Balaji will give blessings. Indians have developed algorithm, algebra, zero and geometry.”
