Telangana and AP Madrasas celebrate Republic Day

Hyderabad: Several Madrasas across TS and AP on Thursday celebrated the 68th Republic Day as Yaum-e-Jamhuriya with enthusiasm.
Madrasa teachers and students hoisted the National Flag and sang the National Anthem. The teachers spoke on the importance of the day.
Hafez Peer Shabbir of Jamiatul-Ulema said, “We hold programmes on Independence Day and Republic Day to express our solidarity with the entire country. Through this, we remember the sacrifices made by our forefathers for the sake of the country.”
Madrasa students in Ranga Reddy and Kadapa districts also took out rallies with the Tricolour.
Moulana Raheemuddin Ansari of Darul-ul-Uloom said that they have been celebrating the national festivals for the past 35 years. “We distribute sweets to the children on these occasions besides teaching them importance these festivals,” he said.
